In this article we will explain how to estimate the running time of your appliances powered by our portable power station solutions.
First of all, you have to make sure that the total power consumption of your devices is less than the rated power of the power station. Read: How to estimate the power of an appliance
To estimate the running time use the following formula:
Running Time = (Power Station Rated Capacity×0.85×Remaining Capacity percentage)/(Device Power Consumption)
– Power Station Rated Capacity: measured in Wh
– Remaining Capacity Percentage: If the power station is full then it is 100%
– Device Power Consumption: measured in W
Example:
Appliance: TV
Appliance Rated Power: 120W
Power Station to be Used: Powerlife 500
Rated Capacity of Powerlife 500: 540Wh
Remaining Capacity remaining: 100%=1.0
TV Running Time = (540×0.85×1.0)/(120) = 3.9hrs
Note: The running time varies due to many factors such as ambient temperature, humidity, discharge rate, etc.
Example:
How much is the running time for the 120W TV if we use two parallel Powerlife 500?
Appliance: TV
Appliance Rated Power: 120W
Power Station to be Used: 2×Powerlife 500 (Connected in Parallel)
Rated Capacity of Paralleled Power Station: 1080Wh
Remaining Capacity remaining: 100%=1.0
TV Running Time = (1080×0.85×1.0)/(120) = 7.8hrs
